There is a post office next to the airport. You can have packages addressed to you and check at the post office (correos) or to where you are living/staying and they will bring them to you. I would not recommend shipping anything expensive or electronic. It can get stopped in customs in Puntarenas and you have to go claim it. Learned that one the hard way.
