Was shocked to find out that Taca's board fees are $125 each way. Anyone know a way around this?
It's also pretty frustrating that I will pay the same amount for one 6' shortboard as a guy with three 12' long boards, since the fee is per board bag, not per board.
Or if anyone else is flying out of LAX at 2:35 am on April 4th, let me know if you're interested in sharing my board bag to cut costs.

Look at the United Airlines fees if you want to be shocked! At least you can carry a maximum of three boards in one bag, TACA charges per bag. United charges $200 each way per board on international flights!
Last time I rented my board in Costa Rica. You might not always get the exact board you are looking for, but it makes travelling easier. I rented in San Jose, here: Surfboard Rental Costa Rica
