Once you get past your sense of wonder (and the guard at the front gate) and actually decide to visit l’acquaviva, you won’t be disappointed.  The grounds are absolutely stunning and evoke a sense of awe in even the most jaded and seasoned traveler. You can see that millions of dollars were spent to design and build l’acquaviva.  The luxury pools and multiple bedroom suites are ample evidence that time spent at l’acquaviva is the definition of luxurious travel.

The bar and main desk area of l’acquaviva rival anything seen in South Beach oceanfront resorts.  The tropical chic extends up into forty-foot vaulted ceilings and plasma screens in a scene reminiscent of some sultry, futuristic club.  The pools and restaurant area spill out onto varnished decks and tumble into the guest villas in a seamless and inviting manner.  Koi ponds and fountains sit next to Budda statuary and give an Eastern edge, almost recreating a resort in some faraway Pacific isle.

L’acquaviva is a true Surfing Nosara Double Overhead (DO) resort for its attention to luxurious details.  The yoga room and workout areas are a plus, and the excellent and dedicated wait staff seems to be everywhere at once.  Prices are on par with the level of accommodations, which is of the highest order.
