About the Surfing Nosara Foundation

The Surfing Nosara Foundation evolved out of a desire of expatriates to give back to the community in Nosara, where beyond the beauty of the beach and tropical dry rainforest live native residents who struggle for basic necessities.  The public school system is one core area which affects nearly all native families.  By supporting ongoing projects within the public schools, the SNF aims to work in unity with locals to achieve their own set upon goals.  We have a culturally sensitive approach to donation, and work hand-in-hand with schools and community groups to achieve common goals.  

The Surfing Nosara Foundation is a volunteer-based not-for-profit in Costa Rica (ID number 3-006-616731), whose mission is to improve the lives of residents in Nosara and surrounding areas by effecting change in our public schools and the community, 'one project at a time'.  We are affiliated with Friends of Nosara, a US 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN/Tax ID number: 13-4144380).
