Good morning everyone... our dry spell has ended today on a surprise pick up of a North swell that came our way. We have consistent head high surf that is clean and punchy at the low tide report time of 7:30am.
This time of year it is kind of a waste of time sometimes to check the swell model as it can call for a slow day and you could waste a morning of great surf by not actually putting your feet on the sand and looking at it.
This could have been one of those mornings for those folks reading this report right now... but if you hurry and get out there you could still salvage the morning... it could even get better as the tide fills in.
On another note, we are getting together today to plan a Hot Dog eating contest to raise money for the foundation... March of Dimes rules apply... Each local business can sponsor one eater and solicit "per hot dog" pledges to be donated to the Surfing Nosara Foundation and in turn the local schools.
Surfing Nosara is entering James... and I'm putting in 1,000 colones per Hot Dog that James can eat. I hope to go home broke...
