January 29th: Waist to chest high surf, good ones for those in the right spot

Nosara Costa Rica Surf Report

Good morning everyone. Well, as predicted, the swell has dropped a bit and is running in the waist to chest high range and clean. The wind is blowing pretty hard offshore as of report time around 9:00AM and is making it a little hard to get into. The tide is dead low now, but if the wind cooperates the afternoon session could be really fun. Well, last night went a little longer than expected at the Krel Wear fashion show at Estancia Nosara Private Club... But, the late night was worth watching Samlander and Arabian Prado strut their stuff across the cat walk in some fresh duds. Not to mention the fact that there was a plethora of Nosara and Costa Rica's finest attributes teaching the crowd all about the beauty of fashion, fashion shows and wardrobe malfunctions. And the verdict is... Prado, I mean Alladin, is NOT to sexy for his shirt.

So, last night was a huge success, and tonight is another important event. It is the 2nd Annual Save the Howler Monkeys Benefit and Auction. We hope to see many of you out at the Bombard residence supporting a great cause. For information and to bid on items online visit - http://www.nosaraweb.com/SaveTheHowlerMonkeysAuction.html Ryan will be covering the event and will report back next week to let you know how it all went down and how much money was raised for the Monos.

On another note, if you are still looking to book a dream home for your March or April vacation, check out our featured vacation rental of the week, El Sueno de Mariana...it's a beaut!
