June 5th, Chest high surf, Tree Planting on the beach

Nosara Costa Rica Surf Report

Good morning everyone. Sorry for the late report. We just had our big tree planting on the beach. Hundreds of trees were donated and planted through some of our government environmental agencies and local businesses. The Surfing Nosara crew was there and we'll have a full report for you on Monday with a recap. It will be nice to have some shade on the beach here!!

Regarding the surf, things are a touch weak, but surf is running in the chest high range today. If you're in the right spot and on the right equipment you can get a good ride. I saw a few guys on fun'ish shapes getting the job done, but since it was a bit on the crumbly side, that is the preferred equipment for the day so far. The winds are onshore already at report time, which is 8:30am. It was cleaner when we first arrived to start planting the trees, but seems as though our current weather pattern will continue to keep us damp for a while. Pray that the sun sticks around today. It would be nice to dry out. See you in the water! Andrew
