January 25th, 2012 Blue Green Small Waves

Nosara Costa Rica Surf Report

Beautiful blue green waves but tiny in the waist and smaller range, a fun day for the schools and anyone looking to learn, today was the perfect day with small gentle waves. Brayan and I still managed to shoot over 1000 photo so please stop by the office and check them out, too many to put on the internet so swing by in person. We are spread out on the beach so there is a good chance we have your photos. The other side of the office is here for all your vacation rental or real estate needs. Thanks

January 7th - Knee to waist high, light wind and clean

Nosara Costa Rica Surf Report

Good afternoon! Surf today in Guiones is still running really small, but the winds have finally calmed down and it was nice and glassy out there this morning. It is only in the knee to waist high range, but the conditions are perfect for the surf schools. They are all happy to resume morning lessons after all the strong winds the last few days made it a bit dangerous out there. It was definitely a day for the longboard or fat, retro twinnie. Some folks on their logs were getting nice, long rides that were lining up and looked real fun for noseriding. We are looking forward to a small bump up in the swell early next week. Check back with us and the wave models to find out which days will be the best. Right now, Tuesday is looking good...

Stay tuned for more of today's photos from James, here on SurfingNosara.com and on our Facebook Page. Have a great weekend!

Pura vida,
Ryan

Nosara Costa Rica Surf Report

Afternoon everyone. Andrew here with a late update on the surf. Unfortunately due to storms, we've had some internet issues so we are sorry for no morning report. With that in mind, there was very little to report. The surf is very small, and it rained for most of the day. I don't think too many people paddled out. Hopefully tomorrow will bring something better, but all the forecasts are showing we're due for a wind swell, which I've never seen called before. 8 second period for several days in a row is just plain odd. We'll see what happens. On the radar, there are also storms passing over the country, so I'm hoping that rainy season isn't trying to hang in there for longer. I thought I had escaped it completely this year!!

Sunday, October 23rd - Sunny With Slight Offshore Winds & Tiny Surf - Swell Coming

Nosara Costa Rica Surf Report

Good Morning Everyone,

Today the sun is out & I think everyone is rejoicing for the break in the rains. We're towards the end of October & the season is going to start changing in front of our eyes within a matter weeks (hopefully days). This morning we have sunny skies &, believe it or not, the winds are slightly offshore. The only problem with today at the moment is the surf is really small, running waist high or so & that is on the set waves. The good news is swell is on the way & could possibly start showing as early as late today... For the morning session though grab the really big equipment if you have it because it is tiny. I think I'm going to take my 2 kids surfing after church on the beach.

A couple swell models have a swell forecast to start hitting later on today & some have tomorrow morning. Either way if we can have this type of weather & the new swell rolls in then life will be pretty good down here. We're due for some good luck wave-wise as the past few weeks here the surf has been terrible. But it is October & that is the month for this to happen... Thankfully it will all be over soon & we're going to be in clear blue water with clean surf most every morning for the next several months!

Have a good day,
Rich

James here updating Erik's report with some photos. Great day for all skill levels and longboards. Lots of school and kid photos today. Swing by the office next to banco popular to browse all our photos. Get them before you leave town. We are here in the office until 4pm. thanks! Below is Erik's early report.......

Good morning folks! Surf is about as perfect as it can get, for my daughter... :) If only we could get these conditions with the big swells that we have been having. Would be epic! You can still have a great time out there today, but bring the biggest board you gotz. We have a high tide at 9:55 this morning, so we may get some sets pushing in as the tide comes in. We will hold out home on that. OK, have a great day and see you guys in the water! E.
