Friday March 31st Dawn Patrol Report

Nosara Costa Rica Surf Report

Good Morning Everyone,

Here is your dawn patrol report for today: This morning in Guiones the surf is looking fun on the sets with only 1 person (Pat) out there as of day break... Sets running in the chest to shoulder high range & lined up pretty nice. In between sets waves running knee to stomach area. Not sure how the tide will affect it but if the winds cooperate we might be in for a good morning of surf. We should have material up for you later today from some of our photographers so check back in for the afternoon report.

Remember the national contest is here in Guiones this weekend so get ready for lots of good footage with people ripping. There are already some competitors in town & it is just a pleasure to see how some of these guys & girls surf. Expect some great photos & video soon from our team here.

Enjoy yourselves,
Rich

March 29th, 2011 - Mellow waves with light offshores

Nosara Costa Rica Surf Report

Hey guys. Andrew with your for an evening update. Surf is glassy right now as we're getting a good rain!! Huge for us right now. Get the dust down and glass things off. Anyhow, we're also expecting a bump for tomorrow and we have some new swell angles in the water, so pay attention to tides and get on it. I'll be back early again tomorrow for your morning report. Check the additional photos added below the early ones. See you in the water.

Good morning folks! Big day for us here at Surfing Nosara. This report marks the 1,500th day that we have posted a daily surf report. It would be about 1560, but we missed a few along the way. Big thanks to all you guys that have been following for the last 5 years (in July). We appreciate being able to live and work in paradise and take pride in what we do. We try our best to deliver the best surf content that we can and with the addition of video and our photography of late I am excited about what we are putting out. Thanks! And enjoy your day... I am off to try to score some tubes :) Erik..

March 28th - Early Report - Waist to chest high, but soft and a little mixed up

Nosara Costa Rica Surf Report

Good morning from Guiones and thanks for checking in! Surf today out back is running in the waist to maybe chest high range on the sets, but it is a bit mushy and mixed up with a lot of little sections. The dead, slack wind isn't helping either, so you need to get out there early before it switches onshore. You can grab a few fun ones though if you are in the right spot, but try to avoid the closeouts coming through. It is probably a good day for the longboard or bigger equipment while we wait for our next swell to show up in the next day or so. At least that's what Rich is deciding to do, as he just grabbed his longboard out of the office to go get a few nose rides before the size bumps up again.

Austin is calling for things to increase a little bit tomorrow evening into Wednesday...bringing some head high plus swell. So, we're keeping an eye on that, and hoping for some fun surf, come mid-week.

If you folks need anything or have any questions for us, drop us a line at info@surfingnosara.com. And, if you're in town, make sure to drop in, say hi and check out the day's photos to see if we have any of you or your group. Have a great Monday!

Pura vida,
Ryan

March 27th Sunday Surf Report - Smaller with high tide early

Nosara Costa Rica Surf Report

Good Morning Everyone,

We've got sunny, clear skies early this morning with surf running in the chest high range & a higher tide. Not a ton of swell reaching into the bay but plenty to get out there & have some rides & a fun morning. If you want to wait for the sets on the outside be a little patient or hang on the inside which has some decent sections lining up. It seems like the wind is going to be turning early today so don't be surprised if when you show up there is a little surface chop.

If you're looking for something to do today:

Christian Surfers are meeting on Sundays at 9:30am at the main beach under one of the palapas or by the trees... It is the most relaxed church of all time. They go surfing before & after the service, with short meetings pending wave conditions & a Sunday School for kids too.

Lots of games to check out at some of the local bars & restaurants... Always some great people hanging out

This afternoon at 5pm head down to Pacifo Azul in Garza for the "Ship of Fools" fishing Tournament fiesta. All proceeds go to help the local school, so come on down and enjoy the evening sunset Garza style. There will be an awards ceremony, BBQ, fresh fish, and of course, our fine craft beers...

It all starts around 5:30.
Come show your support for the local fisherman and the quaint town of Garza!!!

Have a good day,
Rich
