Good morning from Guiones and bienvenidos a Marzo! We have some fun surf this morning out front. It is running in the waist to chest high range and is super clean with the offshore winds. The tide is super low as of report time around 9:30AM, so that is making things pretty fast out there right now. However, if the wind holds this afternoon could be awesome with the incoming tide. We have had offshore winds all night and it stayed offshore all day yesterday, too. So, I'm crossing my fingers for that to be the case again today so I can fit in a lunchtime surf! Looking ahead, it looks like we may have a little drop in swell tomorrow, but then another swell should start to fill in late tomorrow into Wednesday. It doesn't look like a big one, but it still should give us some chest high surf, maybe some head high sets. So, stay tuned....
Today's feature in the box below is about a group of college students that came down from Moorpark Presbyterian Church in California. They volunteered 4 days of their vacation with the Surfing Nosara Foundation. They helped to paint bedrooms, bathrooms and the new lunch room that the SNF built at the school in Las Delicias. They also helped paint and distribute trash bins to the local area schools as part of the Project Limpieza. So check out the story by clicking the link in the box below and find out how YOU, too, can donate your time and help give back to the local schools here in Nosara.
