March 8th - stomach to head high with howling offshores

Nosara Costa Rica Surf Report

Good morning form Guiones! Surf is looking super fun this morning and is running in the stomach to chest high range with plenty of head high sets coming through. The wind is howling offshore though and has been all night. I swear we had gusts of 30+ mph last night up on the hill in Las Huacas! So, the swell could be even bigger if we didn't have the Guanacaste winds knocking it down all night long. There are some really nice long lines coming in though if you can paddle into them. It is even looking fun with the high tide right now at 8:45AM, and it is not too mushy at all. It should only get better as the day goes on, the tide drops out and the winds calm down a little bit. So if you're in town, keep an eye on it. Looking ahead, it looks like we are set up to get some more big swells this week around the head high to overhead range. We should have a great week of surf!! March is definitely here!!!

Today's featured blog in the box below is by the one and only...Brandon Nappy. This week, he writes about the fishing tourney that he and his family participated in last week in Garza. They all went out early Saturday morning with Ryan Bombard and Agua Azul Charters for the annual Ship of Fools Tournament, and they even came back with some cash in hand! Check it out by clicking the link in the box below. Have a great day!

Pura vida,

Ryan

Some feedback just came in for James...  Thanks for the email!

Dear James, As I sit here at my computer looking at the pictures that you took of my daughter and me, I just want to take a moment to thank you and to give you a little recommendation in case you want to post it, etc.  Your skills as a surfing photographer are amazing, your prices are very reasonable, and you are an absolute pleasure to work with!  Muchas gracias my friend!!
