Waist High

Good morning everyone. Surf in Guiones is in the waist high range with maybe a chest high set out there... The wind is onshore and surf is mixed up but I still didn't hear anyone complaining about waking up this morning and surfing in Costa Rica.

Buenos dias folks & T.G.I.F.! Surf today in Playa Guiones has dropped a little bit and is running in the waist to chest high range. There might be a nugget or two out there that is a bit bigger, but not much. The wind is pretty slack and almost onshore as of report time around 8:45AM. So, that is making things pretty disorganized and chunky.

Morning folks! Well, surf in Guiones has unexpectadly dropped a bit this morning. It is only running about waist high as of report time around 8:45AM. The wind has finally calmed down since the last few days and is actually dead out there right now. So, it will probably switch onshore pretty early today.

Good morning from Guiones! Well, we have some lines coming in this morning, but I'm hearing on the beach that yesterday morning was a bit better. Today, it is running in the waist high range with a few chest high high peaks rolling through. It is a bit fast right now with the dropping tide, but there are some little barrels out there if you can find the right shoulder.

It is looking similar to yesterday and running in the waist to chest high range on some of the sets, however we don't have that offshore wind like we did the last few days. The tide is close to low right now so it is a little fast, but it has some juice.

This is Rich reporting the winds are hard offshore & there are some zippy, thigh to stomach high waves coming through early this morning. With the low tide it actually has a little punch to it which is nice, but overall the surf is very small. Keep your eye on it mid morning to late morning as the water fills in... Crowds should thin out too.

It is running about waist to stomach high again today and is a bit mushy as we move closer to high tide this morning. The wind is pretty much dead slack this morning so it is glassy, but closing out a little bit.

Morning folks! Today the surf is pretty similar to yesterday and is only running about waist to stomach high this morning. It is pretty glassy though with a light side shore wind blowing. I was out there this morning and was one of the few frustrated ones with a short board. You will be much happier and catch more waves if you're out there on your retro twin or longboard, like most folks were.

However, the swell has dropped a little bit now and is running in the waist high range. We are pretty much at dead high tide as of report time around 8:30AM, so that is making things pretty mushy and slow out there at the moment.

Buenos dias folks! Well, we still have swell in the water, unfortunately the wind is being quite the nuisance this morning as it gusting offshore at about 20mph. It is running about chest high with some bigger sets, but that wind is knocking it down a bit and making it really hard to paddle into.
