Tips on long-term stays in Nosara

Hey good people,

me and my girlfriend have started to draw together plans for spending at least parts of our future winters in Nosara. As we've only stayed in hotels there before and don't know much about the house rental situation, we'd appreciate some insight about renting a home, tips on the day-to-day stuff, possibly working there (is this even possible for foreigners?), et cetera.

What would be a suitable house (or even apartment?) option for a couple (staying time 1-4 months) and how much should one be able to pay for such? What should one consider regarding security issues and such?

Also, any other basic tips are heartily welcomed. Thanks!

Rich handles all of our vacation rentals and typically has some info on what long term rentals may be available as well. Shoot him an email at Rich@surfingnosara.com and he can give you an idea of what might be available in your price range for the dates you are going to be here.

As for working, typically it is not legal unless you have a work visa. However, you can have your own your own biz.

Good luck and we hope to see you down here soon!

Pura vida,
Ryan
