March 9th - Waist high and glassy with slack wind

Morning folks! Well, surf in Guiones has unexpectadly dropped a bit this morning. It is only running about waist high as of report time around 8:45AM. The wind has finally calmed down since the last few days and is actually dead out there right now. So, it will probably switch onshore pretty early today.

March 8th - stomach to head high with howling offshores

Good morning form Guiones! Surf is looking super fun this morning and is running in the stomach to chest high range with plenty of head high sets coming through. The wind is howling offshore though and has been all night. I swear we had gusts of 30+ mph last night up on the hill in Las Huacas!

Good morning and happy Sunday. Surf is in the waist to chest high range this morning and the strong offshore winds continue to blow. It is actually looking pretty fun this morning at 8AM report time but there is nobody out. I thin I could only count five guys out on the whole stretch of beach.

March 6th: Head high and SUPER WINDY!

Good morning folks and holy wind storm. The Guanacastes are blowing for the third day in a row keeping us up at night and blowing the surf away during the day. Surf is in the head high range but due to the wind is a bit hard to get into and is fairly choppy. If today is anything like yesterday the wind should calm down a bit around mid day and the surf should improve.

March 5th - chest to head, some overhead sets with strong offshores

Buenos dias everybody and TGIF! It is super windy again this morning in Guiones and the offshores have been blowing hard all night. The swell has bumped up since yesterday though, and it is running chest to head high with plenty of overhead sets coming through. It only looks like it is getting better too as we are right about mid tide as of report time around 9:00AM.

Buenos dias amigos and thanks for checking in today! We have some really fun surf out front this morning. It is nice and clean and running in the stomach to shoulder high range with the occasional bigger peak. The wind is blowing really hard offshore, so that is making it a little bit hard to get into.

March 3rd - Waist high with a couple chest high peaks

Good morning from Guiones! Well, we have some lines coming in this morning, but I'm hearing on the beach that yesterday morning was a bit better. Today, it is running in the waist high range with a few chest high high peaks rolling through. It is a bit fast right now with the dropping tide, but there are some little barrels out there if you can find the right shoulder.

March 2nd - Waist high with some chest high sets

Buenos dias muchachos! Thanks for checking in with us this morning. We still have some fun, small surf this morning. It is looking similar to yesterday and running in the waist to chest high range on some of the sets, however we don't have that offshore wind like we did the last few days. The tide is close to low right now so it is a little fast, but it has some juice.

Good morning from Guiones and bienvenidos a Marzo! We have some fun surf this morning out front. It is running in the waist to chest high range and is super clean with the offshore winds. The tide is super low as of report time around 9:30AM, so that is making things pretty fast out there right now. However, if the wind holds this afternoon could be awesome with the incoming tide.

Sunday February 28th, 2010 - Small zippers w/hard offshore winds

Good Morning Everyone,

This is Rich reporting the winds are hard offshore & there are some zippy, thigh to stomach high waves coming through early this morning. With the low tide it actually has a little punch to it which is nice, but overall the surf is very small. Keep your eye on it mid morning to late morning as the water fills in... Crowds should thin out too.
