Playa Guiones Surf Report for February 8th - Waist high with occasional chest high sets.

Good morning folks and happy Monday! Thanks for checking the surf report for Playa Guiones. Well, the small trend continues here as surf is running about waist high with the occasional stomach to chest high wave coming through every once in a while. It is a bit mushy as of report time around 8:30 and that will remain the case as we continue to approach high tide in a couple of hours.

This is Rich reporting small surf hoy but super fun if you have a longboard. Get out there & work on your noseriding if you have one or just cruise around... Otherwise, wait for the rare set waves & enjoy the beautiful, clear water.

February 4th - Knee to waist high lines

Buenos dias folks and thanks for checking in today! As predicted, the swell looks like it has dropped a bit from yesterday and is running in the knee to waist high range again. The tide is still pretty high as of report time around 8:30AM, so that is making things pretty mushy and slow. However, there are some decent lines coming in if you're on a longboard.

February 3rd - Waist to chest high on the sets with offshores

Buenos dias from Guiones! Okay, I have some good news to bring you folks today... the surf has bumped up a little bit and is running about waist high with some chest high peaks coming through. The wind is pretty stiff offshore as of report time around 9AM, so hopefully that holds for a while.

February 2nd - Small but clean

Morning folks! Wish I had some better news to bring you for the swell report, but it is looking pretty tiny again this morning in Guiones. It is only running about knee high, with some waist to stomach high sets coming through. The people out there on the longboards look like they are having a little fun though. So, if you have the right equipment, you might be able to catch your quota today.

Good morning folks and welcome to February! So far the month isn't off a great start surf-wise as it is small and only running in the knee to waist high range. However, it is super clean with a stiff offshore wind so if you have your longboard out there you can grab a few nice, long lines.

Sunday January 31st 2010 - Knee to waist high & clean

Good Morning,
This is Rich reporting the surf is small & clean this morning with some decent rides if you have the right equipment. Low tide will be here at 9:20am and a high tide at 3:40pm. Overall another beautiful morning in Costa Rica but not a great deal of surf. The good thing about being down here is we know it is just a matter of time before the next swell rolls in.
