February 9th, 2010 - Guiones Surf today is waist to chest high, but a little mixed up

Nosara Costa Rica Surf Report

Buenos dias muchachos! The surf today in Playa Guiones has bumped up a little bit and it is running about waist to chest high. However, it is still pretty mixed up and mushy with morning sickness, which is probably a result of the freak rain storm we had last night. It is pretty rare for us to get a big rain this time of year, but then again it was rare for us to have firing barrels in January... so 2010 for has been a little unusual weather wise. It looks like there could be a couple fun rides out there though, if you have your small wave boards.

This week's feature real estate item in the box below is a great house up on the hill in the desirable D section. Casa Los Suenos is one of the best ocean view homes in town right now for the price...

Last but not least... I want to announce the winner of the Prado Photo Caption Contest from last week. With over 30 comments, this was a very tough decision, and this photo produced some of the best lines we have ever seen from a caption contest. So, it is my great pleasure to give a Trit and a Coke to....Mr. Jason Michael Wilcox Fernandez! It only took him four attempts, but this one was the unanimous winner - "After two bottles of tequila and some edible undies it was off to start filming Brokeback Tropicana..." So, thanks for your outrageous captions Jason! I know you're in town and that you love Trits more than just about any gringo out there, so drop by the office and claim your delectable prize before you leave town!

Pura vida,
Ryan
